Anila Sadananda

Dr. Anila Sadananda has been passionately involved with women's rights and cultural
issues since her early years. She was one of the first Indian women to undertake
doctoral studies in Russia, where she obtained her PhD in Russian Literature. As
a young academic at theprestigious JNU in India she took the lead in standing up
for women's rights, both on the faculty as well as in the student community. After
a decade of contributions to Russian and International Studies, she moved with her
family to the internationally funded Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok. Her
enthusiasm, dedication and involvement in community life quickly propelled her through
the University's administrative services, culminating in her appointment as the
Dean of Student Affairs, a post she held for twenty years. During this time she
initiated the Women's Study Circle to promote intellectual exchange between professional
women, and represented AIT at various international gender-related workshops and
conferences. She has been a strong advocate of Emotional Literacy and Multiculturalism
through her workshops on these topics, which she exemplifies through her multilingual
skills and cultural awareness. Anila is currently the Manager of Student Services
at Carrick Institute, Sydney, Australia.
Commisioned in 1958,Maj Gen(Retd) Rajinder Kumar Bagga had over 4 decades of service in Army( EME), including 20 years in Defence R&D Organisation, where he spearheaded Computer Activities in the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) . He is the recipient of Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) for distinguished service of exceptional order in providing computing resources and for software development for the Missile Programme .
After retirement in 1997, he was CMC Chair Professor in Information Technology at Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI)up to 2004. He was responsible for launching innovative Management Development Programmes at ASCI in ERP, DSS, KM, e-Commerce, e-Governance,
e-Security and Internet Technologies for practising Managers from India and Commonwealth Countries. He also conducting a number of major Conferences on e-Governance/Digital Divide under IT Forum at ASCI.
A senior professional in Informationa Technology ,who has contributed in professional activities ,as IEEE India Council Chair, Institutin of Engineers(I) Fellow and Fellow of Institution of Electronocs and Telecominication India(IETE). As Fellow of Computer Society of India(CSI), he has assited Hyderabad Chapter and National Executive Committee as member. He has been involved in evaluating e-Governance initiatives in India, as part of CSI e-Governance Awards since 2004, as Member/Convenor .He has large number of international and national publications including four books for Knowledge sharing among the stake holders in the area of e-Governance.

Bhanwar Lal

Bhanwar Lal, IAS is Principal Secretary to Government, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Born on October 25, 1957, Bhanwar Lal has joined the Indian Administrative Service in the year 1983. He holds his Masters degree in Economics from University of Rajasthan, India and in Business Administration from University of Birmingham, UK.
He started his career in the Indian Administrative Service as Sub-Collector & Sub Divisional Magistrate at Kandukur, served at various levels in various departments of Government of Andhra Pradesh including as District collector of Karimnagar and Hyderabad Districts, Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Lal has been the Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh State Non Resident Indian Investment Corporation, Project Coordinator, Central Silk Board, and Commissioner of Civil Supplies.
His contribution towards welfare of labor in the unorganized sector, imparting market demanding skills to the unemployed youth and providing employment through convergence of various employment schemes as Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Labor, Employment, Training and Factories; CEO of Rajiv Udyogasri and Vice-Chairman of Overseas Manpower Corporation of Andhra Pradesh is substantial.
Mr. Bhanwar Lal is currently the Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Mr. P. S. Deodhar is the founder of the 200 crore APLAB Group of companies. The
flagship of the group, APLAB Limited, was established in 1962. On October 1, 2009
he stepped down from APLAB as its CMD.
In 1985, Mr. Deodhar was invited by late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi to take over
as the Chairman of the Electronics Commission, Government of India and be with him
as the Advisor to the Prime Minister on electronics. Earlier, in 1983, he suggested
to Mrs. Indira Gandhi benefits of changing over to a liberalised electronics policy
and set in motion liberalisation of ICT technologies. He also was the Chairman of
the Broadcast Council in 1992-93 that set in motion the privatisation of the Electronic
Media with Metro Channels.
He has been the Chairman of the 4th Jagatik Marathi Parishad held in Jerusalem,
Israel in 1997.

In international circles too, Mr Deodhar has an impressive reputation. He's a fellow
of the IEEE, USA, and has been honoured with the prestigious US award "Engineering
Manager for 1990" by the Engineering Management Society of IEEE, USA. Mr. Deodhar
is the Distinguished Fellowship of IETE. He is also the Fellow of Institution of
Engineers, Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering and the Hon. Fellow
of Broadcast Engineering Society.
As an Engineer, Mr. Deodhar has designed and developed scores of professional Electronics
Products that are manufactured and exported to Western Europe & North America.

The International Conference on smart Cards held in New Delhi, Mr. Deodhar was honoured
as the Father of Smart Card Industry in India in recognition of his pioneering efforts

in national development. Currently he is President of Marathi Vidnyan Parishad,

Donna L. Doane

Donna L. Doane is currently working as a Visiting Faculty in Gender and Development
Studies at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand and as Program Consultant
for HomeNet South Asia, a network of organizations of home based (predominantly
women) workers in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. She has a BA
from Stanford University, and an MA in Anthropology and PhD in Economics from Yale
University. In previous years she has worked in universities and research institutes
in the US, Japan, India, Thailand, and the Philippines. She was also working on
social protection for informal women workers as Sub regional Research Coordinator
for HomeNet South East Asia, a network of home based worker organizations in Cambodia,
Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines and Thailand.
Professor Ghose holds PhD and MSc degrees in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, Canada (he also spent parts of his PhD candidature at the Beckman Institute, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and the University of Tokyo) and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. While at the University of Alberta, he received the Jeffrey Sampson Memorial Award. . His research is (or has been) funded by the Australian Research Council, the Canadian Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, the Japanese Institute for Advanced Information Technology (AITEC) and various Australian government agencies as well as companies such as Bluescope Steel, CSC, Holocentric and Pillar Administration.
His research has been published in the top venues in service-oriented computing (SCC and ICSOC), software modelling (ER), software evolution (IWSSD, IWPSE) and AI (Artificial Intelligence Journal, AAAI, AAMAS and ECAI). He has been an invited speaker at the Schloss Dagstuhl Seminar Series in Germany and the Banff International Research Station in Canada. He has also been a keynote speaker at several conferences, and program/general chair of several others. He is a senior technical advisor to several companies in the areas of constraint programming and business process management, both in Australia and Canada. He reviews for well-regarded journals such as Artificial Intelligence, the IBM Systems Journal and the Journal of Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, serves as assessor (Ozreader) for the Australian Research Council and as an external reviewer for the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada and the Science Foundation of Ireland.
Professor Ghose is a Research Leader in the Australian Cooperative Research Centre for Smart Services, Co-Director of the Centre for Oncology Informatics at the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute, Co-Leader of the University of Wollongong Carbon-Centric Computing Initiative and Co-Convenor of the Australian Computer Society NSW SIG on Green ICT. He is also Vice-President of CORE, Australia's apex body for computing academics.
Gyanam Sadananda develops workshops and training on Ethics, Expression, and Empowerment
for clients around the world, including in industry, universities, and community
& vocational colleges. She has an Engineering degree with Honours from the Australian
National University in collaboration with the University of California San Diego,
a Master of Engineering in Mechatronics and an MBA from the Technical University
of Hamburg and the Northern Institute of Technology in Germany. Gyanam worked with
the Australian Voluntary Project, Building Engineering Ability in Mozambique, as
an IDP Education Representative in Bangalore, and at Infosys in Bangalore before
being awarded an Airbus Industry scholarship to study and work in Germany. After
successful patented technical contribution to the Airbus Superjumbo A380 aircraft,
Gyanam offers her well-rounded experience to her workshop participants and enables
them to improve their services as individuals and societies. In her other life,
Gyanam is a full time professional in the global and dynamic aviation industry.
She serves Qantas Airlines as the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager of Qantas Defence
Services, responsible for all aircraft fleets managed by legacy Airline for the
State.
Shailendra Kumar Hajela graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1957 from the erstwhile
University of Roorkee (Now IIT Roorkee) winning the Thomason Prize and the Gold
Medal for the Best Engineering Project Design. Immediately on graduation he was
appointed as Lecturer in Communications at the University of Roorkee and after a
brief sojourn at teaching was sponsored under the German Govt. Fellowship programme
for postgraduate research to Germany. He obtained his Dr. Ing. (Ph.D.) degree from
the Technical University of Ilmenau. Having successfully competed in the All India
Engineering Services Examination 1957, he joined the Indian Telecom Service (ITS),
Government of India after completing his doctorate.
During his career spanning over 33 years in the Department of Telecommunications,
he was engaged in planning, provisioning, development of network infrastructure,
project management, operation and management of services, holding positions of progressively
increasing responsibility, viz. Asstt. Director (TRC); Chief Engineer (R&D)
and General Manager at ITI Ltd. Bangalore and Naini Units; Dy. Director General
(RD); Chief General Manager, Tamilnadu Telecom Circle; Sr. DDG of Telecom Engineering
Centre, culminating with Advisor Technology at policy and decision making level
in the Telecom Commission during the onset of liberalization of Economy and Telecom
sector reform in India during 1991-92.
On deputation from the Government of India he served the International Telecommunication
Union (a specialized UN Agency) (ITU) for over 10 years in two stints, first as
Team Leader and Sr. Expert of the UNDP/ITU funded Telecom Maintenance and Management
Project in Nepal (1983–88) and later on (1992-97) as the Area Representative for
West & South Asia and Coordinator of the ITU/BDT Regional Office for Asia and
the Pacific at Bangkok, the period marked by project activities on liberalization,
corporatization and related policy and regulatory issues.
On retirement from ITU, he has been associated with the Telecom Regulatory Authority
of India as honorary Sr. Consultant for over 8 years. He has undertaken major consultancy
assignments in India and abroad with the Government, World Bank, Asian Development
Bank, UNESCAP, UNDP, ITU and the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity. He is a member of the
Project Advisory Committee of Technology Systems Group, Ministry of Science &
Technology, Chairman of the ITU-APT Foundation of India and Chairman of Telecel
Communications (P) Ltd.
Dr. Hajela is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers, Fellow of Institution of Electronics
and Telecom Engineers and Sr. Member of IEEE (USA). In recognition of his outstanding
achievements and contributions, the IIT-Roorkee conferred on him the Distinguished
Alumnus Award in November 2008.
Professor Indiresan was educated in Presidency College, Madras, Indian Institute
of Science, Bangalore and at the University of Birmingham, UK. He has taught for
forty years, starting his career at the University of Roorkee and then shifting
to IIT Delhi. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Imperial College, London,
and a Fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg at Berlin. He was for a term Director, IIT
Madras.
At IIT, Delhi, Professor Indiresan founded the School of Radar Studies, now renamed
as the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics. He also served there as a Dean
for Examinations and as Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
Professor Indiresan has been President of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineers, and of the Indian National Academy of Engineering.
Professor Indiresan is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, a
Distinguished Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers,
and Honorary Fellow of the Indian Railway Society of Signal and Telecommunication
Engineers.
Professor Indiresan was twice awarded the highest prize of the Inventions Promotion
Board, the Government of India. The Indian Institute of Science has conferred on
him the Life-time Achievement Award. Karnataka Technical University has conferred
on him an Honorary D.Sc. degree. He has also been conferred the Padma Bhushan by
the President of India. He has the rare honour of being made an Honorary Member
by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, USA. His students have
built a hostel in his name.
Professor Indiresan is currently a member of the State Planning Commission, Delhi,
a Director of the Indo-Sri Lanka Foundation set up jointly by the two governments,
and Chairman, Netaji Institute of Science and Technology, an autonomous institution
of the Government of Delhi.
Professor Indiresan has written several hundred articles on societal and technical
issues in Indian journals. He prepared the final report "Driving Forces and Impedances"
of the Vision 2020 series compiled under the direction of President Kalam. He has
a fortnightly column in the Hindu Businessline and has written two books Managing
Development: Geographical Socialism, Decentralisation and Urban Replication; and
Vision 2020: What India can be, and How to Make that Happen apart from chapters
in over twenty books
Mr. Khan has a total working experience of 35 years in the academic and consultancy fields, both in India and overseas. He has been involved in Computer Systems Consultancy, project management, urban infrastructure development, digital mapping project,
setting up of GIS, Planning of Infrastructure using GIS, environmental impact assessment & auditing, institutional development and training for both the public sector and the private sector. He has a wide range of experience in Management Information Systems,
Database Management, Decision Support Systems, Energy Management and Technology and Environmental Management.
At present Mr. Khan is working with Earthcad Environment, FZ-LLC, RAK, UAE and through his efforts & dedication the company has achieved an important status in
the UAE, GCC, USA, India and abroad in the field of environmental technology, waste water treatment, sanitation and Information System. Mr. Khan has participated in
several fact-finding missions for the Indo-Dutch Environmental and Sanitary Engineering Project, Kanpur-Mirzapur, under Ganga Project Action Plan (DGIA Project).
Mr. Khan was the Project Co-Director and Senior Adviser Environmental Management, MIS and Training of this project. He has worked as Senior Adviser concerning
MIS and Environmental Management Training modules in the Indo-Dutch PMU Project, Hyderabad, for preparation of Training materials for Andhra Pradesh,
Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. On the invitation of the Ministry of Science Technology and Environment of the Vietnam Government in Hanoi, Mr. Khan has participated in
two missions as an Environmental Management Expert to support the formulation of the Project for the Environmental Master Plan of West Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam.
He has worked as an expert member of a technology evaluation and selection team for establishing common effluent treatment plants for tannery wastewater treatment in South Asian and South East Asian countries. He has contributed to development of "draft Urban Environmental Policy of India" as an
Urban Environmental Policy Expert. This policy document was prepared for ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. As an urban Infrastructure expert, he has assisted different government agencies in the formulation of master plan with respect to the water supply,
sewerage system, drainage facilities and sewage treatment facility. Mr. Khan was also involved as project leader in a number of Environmental Management, EIA and EA assignments in Saudi Arabia and other Middle East in India countries. He has presented more than 20 research and discussion papers at various
seminars in India and aboard on subjects of Environmental Technology, Environmental management, decision support systems and institutional aspects. Mr. Khan has been the project team leader for the design and construction of 10 UASB sewage treatment plants in Haryana, under Yamuna Action Plan funded by OECF, Japan.
He has worked on behalf of IRAMconsult as an Urban Environmental & Infrastructure Planning Expert for the Overseas Development Administration (ODA) assisted Gomti Action Plan Project in Lucknow.

Starting as a Lecturer and later Reader in Electrical Engineering in the University of Roorkee in the year 1957, had later served as Professor and Head of the Department at the Regional Engineering College, Sri Nagar, and thereafter as Professeur en Recherche at the Laval University, Quebec, Canada until 1968.
Dr. Kulshreshtha has been a Member of V.D.E. Germany and a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, U.S.A.
Has been a Senior Adviser in Electrical Engineering (UNESCO) and later Chief Technical Adviser at Ceylon College of Technology from 1968 – 1974 responsible for developing courses in the field of Electrical Engineering, setting up laboratories and was instrumental to raise the level of this College to that of a University – the University of Moratuwa.
As UNESCO Adviser in Electrical Engineering at the Dar-es-Salaam Technical College during 1975 – 1976, Dr. Kulshreshtha was in charge of developing technician and diploma level courses in the field of Electrical Engineering. During 1976 – 1980, he has been the Adviser in Technical Education and later Chief Technical Adviser at Sri-Lanka Institute of Distance Education. From 1980 – 1988 he has been the Chief Technical Adviser for the project the Open University of Sri-Lanka.
As a Consultant in Technical Education at World Bank during 1990 – 1991, Dr. Kulshreshtha was responsible for the Staff Development Strategy of the Institute of Engineering. Kathmandu, Nepal. Satish Kumar Manocha

Satish Kumar Manocha graduated in Engineering from IIT Delhi in 1966, did his Masters from SUNY Stony Brook University in 1968, and obtained Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in 1972.

Suresh (Serge) Kumar Mukhi, BE, Grad Dip, MBA, PhD (UNSW) is Managing Director and
Principal of Sydney College of Business and information Technology.
Prior to taking up the above position in 2007.Serge Mukhi was Foundation Professor
of Management and special advisor to the Vice-Chancellor on international relations
at the University of Technology, Sydney. From 1995 to 2000, Serge was Pro-Vice-Chancellor
(External Affairs) at UTS, responsible for all external activities of the University,
both national and international.
Before taking up the above position in1995, Serge Mukhi was Foundation Professor
of Management and Dean of the Faculty of Business for six years. From 1984 to 1989
he was Head of School of Business and Public Administration.
Serge has over 35 years experience in managerial skills training in both the private
and the public sectors. He has been a Visiting Fellow at the Harvard Business School
in the United States and the Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom

While working with Environment Canada Prakash specialized in Motor Vehicle Emissions and Transportation Fuels. He was involved in many international projects in the USA, Canada, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Tanzania, and Dominican Republic.
He has been the founding President of the Indian Association for Air Pollution Control (1976-1980). He has published over 65 papers in National and International Journals.

NANDANA ISHBILIYA REDDY daughter of the late Pattabhi Rama Reddy, well known award
winning film producer and director; and mother, the late Snehalata Reddy, actress
and social reformer, is married to Harindran, one of the leaders and pioneers of
the Computer industry in India.
A trade unionist, she is deeply involved with the informal, unorganised sector and
also with political and civil liberties issues for 25 years. She is founder member
of the PUCL.
She set up the Concerned for Working Children (CWC) who are strong advocates for
the rights of children since late 70s and have enabled children to organise themselves
and use structures for their effective participation.
As Chairperson of the International Working Group on Child Labour (IWGCL) she facilitated
studies in 36 countries to recommended strategies to address child labour. The participation
of children was a significant component of the study and opportunities were created
for working children with grass root activists, academicians and policy makers.

for national and international NGOs and organisations she has set up DHRUVA.
She is a member of the National Council of Education, Research and Training (NCERT)

Professor Sadananda has advised and served international organizations. He served

Management and Environment Education (INCO_DC1996)”. Professor Sadananda has advised
the government of Korea through Korea Foundation for International Cooperation in

Professor Sadananda is among the earliest to initiate Computer Science Education
in India and in South East Asia as well. In recognition of the multifarious contributions
the Computer Society of India conferred him “The Fellow of the Computer Society
of India”.
Professor Sadananda’s research interest has been across disciplines. His PhD research
combined the fundamentals of mathematical logic with the advances in computer based
image understanding. His research was path breaking and was recognised by the award
of a Fulbright Fellowship, which he spent at the University of Texas at Austin.
His master thesis was on a mathematical model of neural communication. He has supervised
over 20 doctoral students and a large number of master students. The areas of his
supervision include Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Blackboard Architectures,
Neural Networks, Cache Management, Agents and Self-Organization. He has over one
hundred twenty publications in journals and leading conferences. He has chaired
and organised many leading international technical conferences – representing Computer
Science, Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Technology Transfer,
Natural Resources Management and Climate Change.
Abdul Sattar Griffith University,

Professor Abdul Sattar is the founding Director of the Institute for Integrated
and Intelligent Systems and a Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence
at Griffith University. He is also a Research Leader at National ICT Australia (NICTA)
Queensland Research Lab (QRL), where he has held the positions of QRL Education
Director (2006-08) and Leader of the Smart Applications For Emergencies (SAFE) project
(2005-08), and is currently leading the QRL node of NICTA's largest project, Advanced
Technologies for Optimisation and Modelling In Constraints (ATOMIC). He has been
an academic staff member at Griffith University since February 1992 as a lecturer
(1992-95), senior lecturer (1996-99), and professor (2000-present) within the School
of Information and Communication Technology. Prior to his career at Griffith University,
he was a lecturer in Physics in Rajasthan, India (1980-82), and a research scholar
at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India (1982-85), the University of Waterloo, Canada
(1985-87), and the University of Alberta, Canada (1987-1991).
He has won several awards starting from national scholarships during his studies
in India (1974-79) and a Commonwealth scholarship in Canada (1985-90), to a number
of research grants. The main grants include 7 ARC Large/Discovery grants (worth
approximately $1.5M). He was a principal researcher in the winning bid for the Collaborative
Research Centre (CRC) for Smart Internet (funding of over $50M for 7 years 2000-07),
and one of the four founding research leaders for the SAFE project ($3.7M for 2005-08).
He led the successful bid for the establishment of IIIS (2003-07), and its renewal
(2008-11) (funding approx $300,000 per year). He has published over 120 refereed
papers in international journals and conferences, a large number of these appearing
in A* and A category conferences and journals. His research team has won 3 international
awards in recent years including the IJCAI 2007 Distinguished Paper award, Gold
Medals in the 2005 and 2007 SAT solver competitions, and one his PhD students won
a first prize in the 2008 ICAPS planning competition. He has supervised the successful
completion of 12 PhD students as principal supervisor.
Professor Sattar has delivered key-note addresses at several international conferences.
His professional service includes editorial / review board membership of leading
journals, and program committee or senior program committee memberships of numerous
national and international conferences. He has played a leading role in establishing
and running several high quality conferences in Artificial Intelligence. He served
as Program or Conference Committee Chair for AI 1997, PRICAI 2002, TIME/ICTL 2003,
AI 2006, AI 2007, PRICAI 2010. He has been an executive member and Chair of Sponsorship
sub-committee for ACS National Committee on Artificial Intelligence since 1997,
and Secretary/Treasurer of PRICAI Steering Committee since 1998. He has been recently
elected as the Chair of the PRICAI Steering Committee. He is a life member of the
Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), and a member
of several professional bodies including the International Society for Applied Intelligence,
the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) and the International Artificial Intelligence

Shantha Sinha Chairperson,

Shantha Sinha is India's foremost activist in the field of elimination of child labour. She has been actively involved in programmes for elimination of child labour through universalisation of elementary education in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh covering more than 6000 villages through M. V. Foundation - MVF of which she was Founder Secretary Trustee. This has resulted in over 400,000 children in 5-14 years age been withdrawn from work over the last 12 years.
MVF, under the stewardship of Shantha provided technical support to the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan in Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Rajasthan and to NGOs working in Nepal, Morocco, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Honduras as well. Shantha's work has resulted in putting child labour on the national agenda for the first time in the country's history, a remarkable achievement and a lasting contribution to the nation.
Shantha Sinha was selected to head National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) as its first Chairperson in March 2007 and reappointed for second term till May 2013.
In recognition of her contribution, Shantha was awarded the Padma Shri in 1998 by the Government of India and also was chosen for the prestigious Ramon Magsasay Award in 2003. She has received several other awards and much recognition. "Goldene Feder Award, Albert Shankar International Award, and Rotary India Award are few of such to indicate.
Shantha holds a doctorate in Political Science from Jawaharlal University, India and did her MA in Political Science from Osmania University, India. Several of her articles on Child Labour, Girl child and education are published in leading journals. Shantha is a Faculty member Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad, India.
Shantha, although here career, has been closely associated with elimination of child labour and universalisation of elementary education and had served as Chairperson and member of several high powered committees and working groups on Child Labour, Education and Human rights. Sharda Prasad is the Director General, Employment & Training and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. He is a post graduate in Political Science and 1981 batch officer of Indian Administrative Service. He has vast experience of governance at different levels of nearly three decades and has held important senior positions in Government of India as well as State Government of Uttar Pradesh.
In his current position he is responsible for policy formulation on skill development, National Employment Service, laying down norms and standards of training in the country, and administration of Central Training & Employment institutions under the control of DGE&T. career spanning high technology, international cooperation and education. Dr You
has been closely associated with high technology industry, especially at Silicon
Valley. Dr. You has worked with David Packard and translated his influential book
into Korean. Besides, Dr. You has studied Intel's management philosophy and translated
President Andrew Grove's book, Only the Paranoid Survive. Dr You founded a high
tech start-up (Venture Business), Korean American Software Corporation (KASCO Technology).
He has made significant technical contributions that includes working on the research
team that developed inkjet printers at HP Laboratory. He has, among others served
